About Stephan Eriksson
Stephan Eriksson has his education in aviation law from the Institute of Air and Space Law (IASL) at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where he also teaches. IASL's aviation law program is ranked as one of the best in the world. Who's Who Legal has named him one of the top aviation lawyers in the world.
Stephan has extensive experience representing airlines and helicopter operators, aviation brokers, and travel organizers. He also works with aviation accidents and product liability within aviation. ASTRA ADVOKATER is a member of L2b Aviation, an international network of more than 55 aviation-focused law firms representing airlines, financiers, lessors, manufacturers, insurance companies, airports, and export credit agencies.
Stephan has particular experience in passenger rights and the EU Regulation 261/2004.
Stephan also works with construction law and business-related disputes in courts and arbitration tribunals.
Stephan is a member of the American Bar Associations ABA and AAJ, the European Aviation Lawyers Association EALA, and is the former chair of the European Lawyers Organization PEOPIL's aviation activities, where he organized the McGill University/PEOPIL biannual Conferences on INTERNATIONAL AVIATION: LIABILITY, INSURANCE & FINANCE.
